About
Hi, I’m Julie.
Symposi is the design studio of graphic designer and illustrator Julie Levesque.
Julie was born an artist. As soon as she could ask, art supplies topped every birthday and holiday wish list. She took every art class her high school offered and earned a BA in Studio Art from the University of New Hampshire, concentrating in ceramics. An introduction to architecture class in her senior year sent her on to graduate school, and she earned an MA in Architecture from Miami University in Ohio.
That training gave her a rigorous design education and a critical eye for everything visual. It has served her well as a graphic designer, whether the project is a brochure, a website, or a custom pendant light for her own dining room.
Since 2002, Julie has provided print and web design to a wide range of businesses and organizations. Her clients include hospitals, foundations, and research labs throughout the Boston area, along with many small, creative businesses she has helped develop a professional look: photographers, architects, fashion designers, knit and crochet designers, and even a Venetian plaster artist. She especially enjoys working with creative professionals who share her artistic outlook.
A lifelong New Englander, Julie was born and raised in New Hampshire and now lives in Hollis with her husband and two sons. When she isn’t designing for clients, she loves painting, taking photos, knitting, and exploring the seashore.

Over the years Symposi has built relationships with printers, binderies, copy editors, and web hosting companies. Those partners, together with Julie’s project management, mean Symposi can carry a project from the first concept through final delivery.

Symposi has worked with clients across the US and in Europe, South America, and Asia. Most new work comes through referrals from happy clients, and many have returned year after year for their ongoing design needs.
