THE MIND AND THE BRAIN WATERCOLOR
This colorful watercolor painting celebrates an age-old debate in the worlds of philosophy and the neurosciences: What is consciousness? Are the mind and the brain one in the same? The stylized rendering transforms a superior view of the brain into a vibrant composition. The abstraction of "the mind" is portrayed by flowing swirls, while the science of "the brain" is depicted with floating astrocytes and neurons.
This artwork was featured throughout event materials for Harvard Neurology's 2014 senior dinner, including the invitation, rsvp card, event program, table signage, and awards slide presentation.
